Today HP Launched a new 3D printer in India to tap into sectors like manufacturing, education and defense. HP’s multijet fusion 3D printing solution will be available in India from company’s selected specialized partners. The first reseller partners are Adroitec and Imaginarium. As of now, this printers use plastic as a raw material. Though HP has announced they’ll soon deploy new 3D printers which will use metal as a raw material.
Managing director of HP india, Sumeer Chandra told PTI,“Industry 4.0 is being impacted by a range of technologies – Internet of Things, Cloud etc. The launch of our 3D printers in India comes at a time when the government is pushing manufacturing in India and we see a lot of potential for our printers,”.
As per reports, 3D printer’s market is expected to grow over $32 Billions by 2023. And As per a 6Wresearch, the Indian 3D printer market is expected to cross $79 million by 2021, with automotive. 3D printing technology reduces the overall manufacturing costs, makes developing of customized products more easy and fast.
The price of this HP 3D printer will start from 2.5 crore onwards and the price tag includes pre and post processing unit, the 3D printer and initial consumables. This product also targeted for sectors like healthcare and product labs. Using this HP 3D printer making prototypes will be faster and more price effective as compared to the current available options.
