Xiamoi to Ditch Fingerprint scanner in Mi 7 for 3D Face ID recognition

Xiamoi Mi 7 will be first android android phone to ditch finger print sensor. As per recent report, Xiamoi is planning to remove the finger print sensor from their upcoming device – xiamoi mi 7. Instead of finger print, the company will add 3D face ID recognition feature on the device.

According to a news coming from My Drivers,A Chinese technology website, xiamoi is not interested to add an in-display fingerprint scanner on the device. Instead of that the company is planning to add iPhone X like 3D sensing face recognition system.

Apple first introduced the face ID technology in their latest flagship device, iPhone X. The concept of face ID went very popular among users. Recently many android smartphone manufacturers have been spotted implementing Face ID on their device. Recently oneplus enabled facial recognition on their latest flagship oneplus 5T and in the former oneplus 5,oneplus 3 and oneplus 3T.

Not much has not been known about the xiamoi’s upcoming flagship device, mi 7. As per sources another Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo is looking for in-screen fingerprint scanner on their upcoming device. But xiamoi has not shown any little interest to embed a finger print sensor on the upcoming device. It can be sign that xaimoi is planning to implement secure and more advanced 3D face ID to compete with other manufactures in the market.

The upcoming Xiamoi Mi 7 will feature a premium large bezel less display. And it will run on Qualcomm snapdragon 845 chipset. Also it might feature dual cameras at the front and the back. This upcoming xiamoi flagship is to be announced in februray at the MWC – Mobile World Congress 2018 in Barcelona.
